Aquafitness uses the same principles as hydrotherapy, however, the group setting and motivating music will encourage enthusiasm and participation. Aquafit provides a workout that will not strain the weight-bearing joints and back. The hydrostatic pressure of the water improves blood circulation, reduces swelling in injured or swollen joints and helps decrease water retention. Best of all you don’t have to be a swimmer to participant!

This is a gentle, low impact work out performed in our 91˚ salt water therapy pool. Gentle tone aquafit will maintain if not increase your bone density as well as work muscles that are rarely used on land. Hydro-static pressure improves blood circulation, reduces swelling in injured or swollen joints and helps decrease water retention. Your flexibility and co-ordination will improve, and best of all, you don’t need to know how to swim to participate.*
Cardio Pump Aquafit
This work-out will get your blood flowing and your heart rate up while still maintaining a great, low-impact work out. This is performed in our 83˚ 25 meter salt water pool (Newmarket only). The cardio work out will not strain the weight-bearing joints in your back, and the resistance of the water ensures that you will not work beyond your capacity. Your core muscles will become stronger through aquafitness and you’ll start to see the results in no time!*
